  • Definitions – What People do

I use Word Games to start my classes.

This one was at Konami, inside the Suita City Worker’s Center.

The Word Game is a kind of “ice breaker”. It is related to the topic at hand; here “people”.

It also takes account that some students will be late; they won’t miss any of the “core” of the lesson.

This one is about DEFINING what people do:

Students are asked to translate the words they don’t know in the Essential Vocabulary (bottom of the second page).

If too difficult, I provide the answers on the screen linked to my computer (see below).

Then students write down the answers in English.

The “good” (fast, efficient, more advanced …) students are asked to provide their own DEFINITIONS in the third section.

It can be used as a homework too, of course.

    Many adults like homework.

  • American English File at Suita

Will start using the American English file 4 to adults.

At Konami at the Suita City Worker’s Center

Looks like a great ‘up to date” book, with lots of video, audio, and web centered activities.

    Looking forward to this.
